Safari Room’s new record, Covers, Vol. 1 is out now! This EP is comprised of four tracks that are near and dear to Safari Room’s central member, Alec Koukol. Each cover either reimagines or puts a Safari-Room-spin on the songs. Whether it’s turning the Mountain Goats’ classic song “The Best Ever Death Metal Band in Denton” into a garage rock anthem, lacquering The Last Shadow Puppets’ “Sweet Dreams, TN” with more schmaltz and rock, or turning up the volume and angst of Frightened Rabbit’s “Head Rolls Off,” further emphasizing it’s pleading and heartfelt nature, this EP pays homage to four great tracks with a new rendition of each.
